How to Enroll
Students must apply online for enrollment into Fort Wayne Virtual Academy through the myFWCS Parent Portal. If you have any issues with the application process, please contact the Family & Community Engagement Center at 260-467-2120.
Current students do not need to reapply each year and will remain students of FWVA until graduation.
Eligibility
Any student in grades 6-12 residing in Allen County and any county adjacent to Allen County in Indiana are eligible to enroll.

Eligible counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells and Whitley

If a student moves out of the eligible counties they will be asked to withdraw and enroll at their new attendance area school.

There are no prerequisites to enroll, however, there will be expectations that must be met or students may be asked to return to attendance area school.

No more than 10 unexcused absences

No more than 15 tardies

Pass 80% of classes

Enrollment
Students are accepted based on space availability.

If a grade level has more applications than spaces available, names will be selected in a public lottery (with computer generated lists).

Students not selected through the lottery are placed on a waiting list and will be notified if a spot opens up.

If selected, parents will be notified to accept the position through the parent portal and submit their photo ID and the student’s birth certificate for registration.
Co-Curricular Participation
Athletics are not offered through Fort Wayne Virtual Academy. Contact us for information about any co-curricular activities.
Technology
Laptops are provided to students enrolled in the Fort Wayne Virtual Academy and they must be returned at the end of each school year.
Students and parents must abide by all FWCS Internet Safety/Acceptable Use of Technology Policy. Policy can be found in FWCS Student and Family Support Guide.
If students have technology issues, they may contact the IT help desk at 260-467-4357. If the issue cannot be resolved, they may be asked to return to their attendance area school.
