How to Enroll

Students must submit apply online for enrollment into Fort Wayne Virtual Academy through the myFWCS Parent Portal. If you have any issues with the application process, please contact the Family & Community Engagement Center at 260-467-2120.

Current students do not need to reapply each year and will remain students of FWVA until graduation.

Eligibility

Any student in grades 4-12 residing in Allen County and any county adjacent to Allen County in Indiana are eligible to enroll.

  • Eligible counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wells and Whitley

  • If a student moves out of the eligible counties they will be asked to withdraw and enroll at their new attendance area school.

  • There are no prerequisites to enroll, however, there will be expectations that must be met or students may be asked to return to attendance area school.

    • No more than 10 unexcused absences

    • No more than 15 tardies

    • Pass 80% of classes

Enrollment

Students are accepted based on space availability.

  • If a grade level has more applications than spaces available, names will be selected in a public lottery (with computer generated lists).

    • Students not selected through the lottery are placed on a waiting list and will be notified if a spot opens up.

If selected, parents will be notified to accept the position through the parent portal and submit their photo ID and the student’s birth certificate for registration.
