Fort Wayne Virtual Academy provides a flexible, high-quality online education for middle and high school students across Indiana, including specialized support for students with diverse learning needs and a wide range of academic pathways to ensure every learner can thrive.

Fort Wayne Virtual Academy offers three distinct learning paths to meet the needs of every student:

  • Full-Day Synchronous Learning – Students attend live, teacher-led classes via Zoom each day, following a traditional school schedule.

  • Full-Day Asynchronous Learning – Students work independently at their own pace through the Edgenuity platform with support from certified teachers.

  • Self-Paced High School Program – Designed for independent learners, this option allows students to progress through coursework on a flexible schedule while still receiving guidance as needed.

FWVA provides a competitive and rigorous academic program consisting of:

  • Core 40 diploma

  • Career pathways in Business & Marketing, Education, Civic Arts

  • In addition to standard synchronous zoom courses during the day, we have the ability to offer online, self-paced courses through Edgenuity.

  • Daily Flex period: The purpose of Flex is to offer students an opportunity to intentionally engage with the FWCS literacy initiative. That means that students have opportunities to read, research, compose, create and collaborate beyond classroom instruction.

Special Education & Multilingual Learners

Fort Wayne Virtual Academy provides Special Education (SPED) and Multilingual Learner (MLL) services to any student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or language support needs. Our team of certified teachers and paraprofessionals work together to create personalized plans that mirror the support students would receive in their home school setting.

We are committed to ensuring all students have access to the resources and accommodations they need to succeed in a virtual environment.
