About Us
Fort Wayne Virtual Academy or FWVA is Fort Wayne Community Schools’ first and only fully synchronous virtual school serving students and families in Fort Wayne and the adjacent counties. We were created to meet the needs and wishes of students and families who desired to continue their education in a fully virtual environment.
FWVA is a stand-alone school serving students in grades 5-12. We’re a comprehensive school with the mission of serving the needs of a very diverse population. Our families choose our school for many different reasons, diversity is one of the qualities that makes FWVA a great place for learning and growing.
With a rich and rigorous academic program, a caring and highly effective staff and school model that is designed to personally support every student are among the many characteristics of FWVA that creates an atmosphere that promotes value and success for all.
Our school motto is “Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long...We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
